It’s been a while since the last update, and there are a few things that have come to my attention that I feel needs addressing….

It seems as if the “doctor” has a website of his own now and it appears as if there is a statement regarding the validity of this site….

First off… NOTHING… I repeat NOTHING that you read on this website is UNTRUE as I know it. Everything I claim and have said is the complete story. This site only stands to warn others of this rogue in the medical community.

Dr. Schaut should have his license taken away from him if it hasn’t already. But don’t take my word for it… search google for Dr David J Schaut and you will hear many stories and opinions from other “disgruntled” patients… including one disgruntled parent claiming the doc inappropriately touched their teenage daughter while she was SEDATED.

The truth is this doctor abandoned me as a patient without any notice at all or a referral to a new physician. It had nothing to do with his refusal to “fill narcotic pain medications”. In fact there was no correspondence at all OR any previous suggestion that my medications had anything to do with his disappearance…. until now. The last words he said to me were … “ see you next appointment” … keeping in mind that these “appointments” were in a grocery store parking lot.

This site will continue to stand as a warning to other possible patients of this so called doctor. As far as the claim that there is a “case pending” regarding removal of this website…. I have no knowledge of any suit, nor have I been contacted in any way shape or form by this Kallman Elinoff. Hmm…. I wonder if this is the same Kallman Elinoff who back in 1999 was accused of bribing 2 police officers AND having himself disbarred? If it is… seems like the PERFECT man to represent David Schaut. I guess it takes a scum lawyer to defend a scum doctor.

I have no intentions of removing this site EVER. So I say to Dr. Schaut and his claim…. BRING IT ON.

As far as his photo being used without permission. I got that photo off the Internet after seeing it on SEVERAL public websites. I cite the FAIR USE doctrine.

The bottom line is… ALWAYS do your research when finding a new doctor!

Quick Update…

Really isn’t much to update right now. Things are moving at a snails pace but I am in no rush. I have plenty of time to get my lawsuit in order. I am waiting on some investigating to be completed before I make my next move.

BUT AGAIN.. until then, anyone out there who knows doctor David John Schaut and has any information that might be able to help me, PLEASE EMAIL ME. All correspondance is kept strictly confidential.

Trolling for answers…

Check out the doc. Trolling the social networks and asking for advice on ‘trysts after dark‘. I find it ironic that he would be complaining about this woman ignoring him and not returning calls yet he treated me much worse. And I was a patient for a year! No notice … nothing… he just ignored me. I guess he forgot how it felt to be tossed aside as if he meant nothing.

Perhaps she wanted nothing to do with him because he is a sleezy man and once she figured out he wasn’t this big shot doctor she wanted out. I wonder how long he continued to bother her.

Scumbag.

False Records

I received my records today. 3 months after I first requested them. They all appear to have been done at the same time. It’s pretty clear. And some of his notes are lies. He has me signing a “informed consent” for each treatment but only provides one document where my signature appears. I must say I do not at all recall signing this document and it appears to have been doctored. (no pun intended) But giving Schaut the benefit of the doubt and assuming the document is legit, it has ALL the procedures listed…. So according to this document, I signed off on procedures that had yet to take place.

It also has a disclaimer where spontaneous pneumothorax is a risk that I would be taking. First of all, I have been told by 7 different doctors over the years that I cannot have nerve blocks done because of that specific risk. This is something that comes up all the time and I am very aware when it has. Dr. Schaut and I discussed this many times but he never ONCE presented that as a risk. It was the complete opposite. In fact I specifically asked him about how deep the needle goes and he said it was all surface and I had nothing to worry about. He assured me that a collapse was NOT possible. I would NEVER agree to a procedure where there was even a remote possibility that my lung could collapse. This document in my opinion is false and I intend to follow up on it.

He also claims in his notes that during the needling in which my right chest muscle was damaged, I tolerated the procedure well and it was not painful. This is an outright lie. In fact I was in so much pain it brought me to tears. I had another bad reaction to it 3 days later and discussed this in great detail with the doc via email and subsequent visits. This was also the last time I had the needling done. He even said that the pain he caused should be temporary and over time would get better. It has not.

Not to mention the dates on these procedure notes are all wrong. I have receipts, pharmacy records, & emails that prove otherwise.

It is very clear Dr. Schaut is trying to cover his ass legally. He should have been a little more careful in his deceit because I now possess documents that I believe to be fraudulent and I intend on proving it. There is alot I intend on proving.

I wish I could share all the horror stories I have heard about this moron but I agreed to the people who emailed me that I would keep it to myself. Let’s just say I know more about David John Schaut then I ever wanted to know. He is a despicable man who has abused his power as a doctor on many occasions. He has violated patient’s privacy and broken numerous medical ethics guidelines. There are even allegations that Dr. Schaut has had inappropriate contact with children. How he was able to practice medicine in Colorado after everything I have heard is also something that needs some serious investigation.

I intend on making sure that he never practices medicine again. I intend on suing him, his insurance company, and possibly the board that gave him his license. I also want to make sure any potential new patients or clients understand the kind of man they are dealing with. I have phone calls into the Colorado ski resorts and will let them know to watch for this possible predator. Dr. Dave likes to teach skiing during the Winter as a side job. I emailed one of the local news networks and will use my various media contacts to get this story a little more exposure. Maybe 9 wants to know.

Dr. Schaut appears to have left a long line of victims during his career and it is time to expose him for what he is and what he has been doing. He picked the wrong MFer to do wrong.

You know.. It should be said, that by doing this in the manner I have chosen I take the risk of some sort of retaliation / retribution by the doc. It is clear to me that this guy doesn’t play with a full deck. I don’t know what he is capable of. You never know what a man might do when his world comes crashing down around him. So I want to make this known publicly now…. I have NO enemies. Should something befall me and I should end up hurt. You know where to look.

Heard from the doc.

So I get an email yesterday from good ole David Schaut. I guess my records are FINALLY in the mail. It only took 3 months! My guess is it took him this long because he had to go over and make sure they were correct. I never saw him take a note or write anything down so I also assume he created the entire record at once.

He issues a statement as per advice of “his lawyer” and says any “further derogatory communications” will be forwarded to the “Douglas County Sheriff“. I guess my email subject line “David Schaut: Scumbag Doctor” was offensive to him.

Too bad.

He is offensive. And if these claims of inappropriate contact with children are remotely true, then the term scum bag is letting him off lightly.

He also claims that he has told me in the past that I should contact a family doctor or new pain specialist. This is an outright lie and an obvious cover up for complete misconduct. I have emails going back a year that say different.

So I welcome the opportunity to talk with someone from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Dept. I am sure they would be more than happy to hear all about Dr. Schaut and what he has been up to. I am no expert on the law but I am pretty sure that doctors cannot write themselves prescriptions NOR can they see patients outside of an established office. At the very least he is in violation of some medical ethics. We will soon find out.

For those of you following this blog. Check back later this week when I will have a nice big update. I have come to find out some very interesting information and I think it should be made public.

You know… I have already been contact by 3 different people already each with their own horror story. I am befuddled at how Dr. Schaut was able to get and maintain a medical license in Colorado.

At the very least…. Internet justice is a mother fu#ker.

Certified Letter: return to sender

On 9/19/08 I sent the doctor (not for much longer) a certified letter with my formal request of my records and my intent to sue. The letter went ignored and has been since returned to sender.

Update on my situtation.

Well… I am now out of medications and STILL have not been able to get into a new doctor OR get a hold of the quack. I went into the ER last night only to be talked to like a drug addict and denied treatment. They didn’t even look at what papers I did have. I brought in a printout from my pharmacy and a letter the quack wrote for my disability hearing.

It is doctors like Dave Schaut (Dr. Dave) that make patients like mine very diffiicult. He and doctors like him along with patients who abuse the system is the reason the health care in this country is HORRIBLE.

Yet another reason why ethical doctors are very wary of prescribing anything.

If I only could get my records I would be able to get into another pain specialist without a referral.

I have been doing some extensive digging into this Dr. Schaut’s history and I am very shocked at what I have heard and found. This guy needs to be stopped.

So Dave… if you are reading this take note: I am not going to go away and will not give up. You better hire a good lawyer.
